eTwinning is the largest European community of teachers active in electronic twinning between schools. Founded in 2005 on the initiative of the European Commission and currently among the Erasmus + 2014-2020 Program actions, eTwinning is implemented through an IT platform that involves teachers and makes them known and collaborate in a simple, fast and safe way, exploiting the potential of the new ‘Information and Communication (ICT) to foster an openness to the community dimension of education and the creation of a sense of European citizenship shared in the new generations.
The action is the means to open up to a new didactics based on exchange and collaboration in a multicultural context with numerous training opportunities and a system of international prizes and awards.
The mission of our Institute is to promote a European dimension of education that encourages teachers to activate and implement European projects in order to educate future European citizens. In order to develop the professional skills of teachers, our Institute in recent years is planning and distributing eTwinning methodological training programs.

A proposito del progetto
Would you like to sing Christmas Carols with us? We’ve created this project to celebrate Christmas in the company of as many European schools as possible by singing Christmas carols in English and in our mother tongues. In this project, pupils from preschool to the last grade of Primary Education will share Christmas Carols while they practice their English skills.
For this reason, we’re looking for schools around Europe that wanted to sing with us Christmas Carols by video-chat. The idea is to learn and sing altogether an English Christmas carol and, after that, sing another one in our native language.
OBIETTIVI
During this project we want our students to:
– Encourage them to exchange languages and cultures and to learn English by singing.
– Learn a Christmas Carol in English.
– Learn another carol from their country in their native language.
– Not to be shy or afraid of singing (by videoconference).
– Know different carols from all over Europe.
– Improve speaking, listening and reading skills and vocabulary in English, using English language in a real situation of communication.
– Use Web 2.0 tools which they will use during the project to present their song to the other pupils.

– Gathering participating schools and exchanging school addresses.
– It’s time to prepare our Christmas Carols!
Each school chooses a Christmas Carol, in English and another one in their own language. Children learn and practice them at their school.
December
– It’s time to sing!
We’ll decide one day to prepare a videoconference. We’ll sing together the English and our native carol and we’ll listen to the foreign carols too.
January
– Evaluation of the project and closing it.
RISULTATI ATTESI
– Children will sing a Christmas Carol in a videoconference and they will listen to the foreign carols.
– Increased social and English skills and cultural awareness.
– Children are expected to have fun with this project and enjoy themselves not only when trying to sing in English but while knowing other children and practicing English skills with them.

The project consist in Easter cards exchange. Every school makes some cards, than send them to another partner and write “Happy Easter” in original language.

A proposito del progetto
We believe is a good idea improving children creativity supported and motivated by informal languages such as Music and Art that can make them to express their emotions.
The idea is to choose a classical/traditional music and make our students to draw, as a story, what they are listening to. Scan the drawings and make a video with the musical piece as a soundtrack.
Partners can exchange their videos and improve the cultural knowledge about classical music in Europe.
They will also learn a bit of English to complete their drawings with simple words.
OBIETTIVI
– Improving children’s creativity, supporting and motivating them to use informal languages such as Music and Art so that they can express their emotions.
– Improving the cultural knowledge about classical/traditional music in Europe.
– Learning some English when creating their drawings with simple words (for example The Four Seasons piece they may learn the name of the seasons, the weather, months…) and so make them aware of the power of knowing a foreign language to make new friends (this will increase their motivation and interest in learning a new language!)
PROCEDURA DI LAVORO
Teachers from the partner schools will communicate the music that they choose for their pupils. A list of composers / music styles will be made as a page in the twinspace. Although they are creating pictures from their own culture initially they will hear and see what others produce and can extend their experience to include those.
The first video from each partner will be expected at the end of February so that teachers can share them with their classes before Easter. Schools then view each others’ videos and teachers can plan whether to create another based on their own country or to explore one from a partners’ country.
The idea is to choose a classical/traditional music and have our students draw, as a story, what they are listening to: picturing the sounds.
Step 1 – January 2019 –
Choose a classical/traditional music (which is typical or famous in our Country or well known within Europe)
Step 2
The students listen to and discuss the music so they can draw it.
Teach them a few English words to describe their pictures and/or the elements in the music.
Pupils may work individually, in pairs or in groups to create their response to the music.
Step 3
Scan the drawings (These can be produced in any medium, pencil, pen, paint, collage, photos taken in response to what they hear)
Step 4 – end of February beginning of March –
With those scanned drawings (and additional little English) make a video with the musical piece as a soundtrack.
Step 5
Videos are uploaded to the Twinspace for partners to see. Play them to students so that will improve the cultural knowledge about classical/traditional music in Europe.
Step 6 – April /May –
Partners can choose to listen to and interpret music used by others to create their own interpretations.
RISULTATI ATTESI
We think that our students (and teachers, too!):
– will start building their language knowledge supported by a strong motivation.
– will learn about classical/traditional music of their own Country and Countries in Europe.
To achieve so we are going to:
– Create a video with the musical chosen piece as a soundtrack and pupils’ drawings (published and shared on the Project Twin Space)
– Exchange videos made with partners and publishing them for the schools
A proposito del progetto
The project will build a musical bridge among European countries and beyond them. Sharing musical experiences we will improve our musical skills, we will have the opportunity for personal expression and we will derive happiness working in teams. We are going to sing, dance, acquire knowledge and know about traditions and festivities of the countries. That is a cultural meeting leading to a mutual friendship among students from different countries and schools. At the same time we will improve our English language and ICT skills.

The main aims of our project are:
– To exchange musical experiences between the countries who participate in the project: by sharing songs, traditions and the current music landscape of their country.
– To learn about our different musical educational systems.
– To enhance our pupils’ ICT skills and the ability to use the English to communicate, and also improve their musical skills to be able to sing songs in English and in their partners’ language and play the musical instruments to accompany songs, when it is possible.

– To develop feelings of friendship and respect for the partners participating in a cultural exchange ,breaking down barriers of ignorance and appreciate the diverse culture of the European partners
PROCEDURA DI LAVORO
September: Partners create the project and discuss the activities schedule ( via closed fb team, mails, messager,skype…).
October: Introducing each other. We decide a logo. We form international groups with mentor teachers ( to work on some activities).
November-Decemeber
Each country will present a song related with the “leitmotiv” of the project.
Exchange of materials on eTwinning: pictures, videos, music sheets ,recording, e- festival.
International groups work on a famous Christmas carols. A common work on it (visdeo ,drawings) and send Christmas cards.
January- February: Each country present a traditional dance. Learn dances of other countries.
March –April: work with the biography and the work of a musician (from the present or past). A song that is beloved in the country through years .
May: We work on the song ‘’count on me ‘’.Bruno Mars. After learning it, we write our own lyrics. We have the refrain in many languages ! We dance, we sing and we make our video
RISULTATI ATTESI
We expect our students to exchange their musical experiences with other countries, to learn how traditional music, groups, dances… take form in each one. And we expect to go further by informing the school community and the local society.
We also want our students to be able to communicate by using ICT tools. For us, music is a special type of communication that goes beyond the borders: they will feel the ‘’beat ‘’of music! What’s more, we’ll use English as our common language to stablish communication, improving confidence with foreign languages, as well as, taking into consideration that each language has the same dignity. [Twinspace is where the process will be presented and where our pupils can increase their self-confidence and their sense of responsibility of being a member of a group].
For teachers, the project have to make us discover new teaching methods by sharing our own experiences.
The whole participants will acquire the feeling of belonging to a wider cultural comunity

Il progetto nasce dall’idea che l’immaginario costituisce per il bambino l’asse portante di tutte le fantasie e le proiezioni sul proprio futuro. Attraverso di esso il bambino, così come l’eroe cresce, socializza e diventa partecipe di una data cultura, di un immaginario collettivo o appartenenza comune che, con letteratura, arte, fiaba e mito chiamiamo cultura umanistica, quella cultura che diventa seme essenziale per una maturazione sana e consapevole e per dare senso all’immensità delle cose che sono accadute, accadono e accadranno nel mondo reale. Inoltre il Mito è senza soluzione di continuità, senza confini quelli che vogliamo eliminare per una fattiva crescita europea. I miti universali sono intrecciati fra loro attraverso correnti di pensiero e di sentimento. Quando li vediamo in questa prospettiva ci rendiamo conto che l’umanità è un popolo unico. La narrazione aiuta i piccoli a pensare, a identificarsi con gli altri e a scegliere tra il bene e il male. A PROPOSITO DEL PROGETTO
‘Countdown to the Tokyo Olympics 2020’ è un progetto che incoraggia la
collaborazione tra gli studenti e i loro insegnanti, sviluppando competenze
creative in materia di linguaggio e TIC. Il progetto si baserà su attività mensili
da settembre 2019 a maggio 2020 tra cui l’introduzione di scuola e paese, la
spiegazione della partecipazione democratica, la comprensione dei valori
olimpici, la scoperta delle Olimpiadi antiche e moderne, l’apprendimento del
Giappone, la creazione di un inno olimpico con musica, canto e linguaggio dei
segni, la partecipazione ad alcuni e-sport tra le scuole di progetto e la
celebrazione con una cerimonia di medaglie online!
Al Progetto parteciperanno più di 30 partner in rappresentanza di 15 Nazioni
diverse. Come tale questo è un grande progetto!
OBIETTIVI:
‘Countdown to the Tokyo Olympics 2020’ ha diversi obiettivi:
1. Incoraggiare gli studenti e i loro insegnanti a collaborare celebrando somiglianze e differenze
2. Incoraggiare la partecipazione democratica come abilità di vita
3. Sviluppare una comprensione dei valori olimpici e di come questi possano avere un impatto sulla
vita di tutti i giorni
4. Sviluppare una consapevolezza della vita in Giappone, in particolare nella città di Tokyo
5. Incoraggiare gli studenti a utilizzare una serie di mezzi creativi per presentare il loro lavoro per
migliorare l’apprendimento degli altri studenti
PROCEDURA DI LAVORO:
Si prevede che si tratta di un grande progetto con oltre 30 scuole. Queste scuole saranno suddivise
in gruppi più piccoli. In quanto tale, ci sarà un coordinatore capo con “luogotenenti di gruppo”.
Questa gestione consentirà ai partner di conoscersi meglio.
Il programma di lavoro sarà suddiviso in attività mensili. Ogni stimolo mensile sarà pubblicato il 1 °
del mese, dando ai partner il tempo di lavorare sull’attività e presentare il loro lavoro su TwinSpace
entro la fine del mese. Questi saranno gli obiettivi mensili:
Settembre – Conoscere te, la tua scuola e il tuo Paese mostrando la partecipazione democratica
Ottobre – I Valori Olimpici
Novembre – I Giochi Olimpici (Antichi e Moderni)
Dicembre / Gennaio – Conoscere il Giappone

Descrizione
La nostra società è nel segno della globalizzazione e questo ha accentuato le disuguaglianze tra le persone e ha portato ad un aumento delle situazioni di esclusione sociale. Per questo, nelle scuole europee, è aumentato il numero di alunni con minori opportunità e che affrontano ostacoli sociali, economici e culturali, predisposti all’esclusione sociale. Per questo è necessario creare un progetto europeo che, attraverso lo scambio di buone pratiche, attraverso la cooperazione di insegnanti e alunni di diversi paesi europei e attraverso il peer learning, contribuisca a facilitare l’inclusione sociale degli studenti
svantaggiati, aumentando il capacità di cooperazione transfrontaliera e rafforzamento della dimensione europea nelle scuole partecipanti.
Obiettivi del progetto:
O1: Aumentare la tolleranza, l’accettazione e la cooperazione con persone di culture diverse attraverso il coinvolgimento in attività non formali durante il partenariato;
O2: Aumentare la fiducia in se stessi e l’autostima per gli studenti partecipando attivamente a laboratori creativi basati sul lavoro di squadra e sull’apprendimento tra pari con i loro insegnanti durante il progetto;
O3: Migliorare le strategie di inclusione sociale attraverso lo scambio di esperienze e buone pratiche.
Procedura di lavoro
Attività:
1. Origami teatro dell’inclusione sociale – gli studenti costruiranno pezzi di origami con il loro insegnante e poi lo utilizzeranno per realizzare un breve pezzo teatrale avente come tema l’inclusione sociale. Nella loro opera teatrale gli studenti dovrebbero promuovere i valori europei.
2. La narrazione dell’inclusione sociale – gli studenti realizzeranno una storia sull’inclusione sociale. Ogni studente sarà incoraggiato a esplorare la propria espressività, ad ascoltare attivamente, ad acquisire fiducia in se stessi.
3. L’inclusione sociale attraverso i miei occhi – gli studenti costruiranno un poster di inclusione sociale, usando foto, colori, ecc. e creeranno uno slogan per quel poster.
4. La photovoice dell’inclusione sociale – gli studenti scatteranno una foto che, nella loro concezione, significa inclusione sociale e scriveranno in fondo all’immagine un invito a promuovere l’inclusione sociale.

Gli alunni si metteranno in contatto con compagni di scuola di diversi paesi e scopriranno l’entusiasmante mondo di eTwinning in un processo colorato e creativo. Per noi insegnanti, sarà l’occasione per condividere le migliori pratiche e competenze, per godere del nostro insegnamento e innovare la nostra metodologia.
Risultati attesi
Ci aspettiamo che gli studenti sviluppino un forte senso di cittadinanza europea. Saranno in grado di apprezzare somiglianze e differenze tra i paesi e l’organizzazione scolastica. Avranno acquisito la capacità di condividere e confrontare le informazioni. Avranno sviluppato competenze digitali e comunicative.
